For your consideration is a fascinating , vintage, hand blown, ORIENT AND FLUME paperweight. The background is an iridescent pale gold. In some lights it has a pale blue cast. A black spider appears near the top. It is heading for a white flower that has orange and gold spots. Golden pulled feather designs that simulate webbing appear on the sides. There is also a swath of green leaves and a stem that is coming from the flower and extends to the base. The piece is signed Orient and Flume, I 269 0,1978. It is 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches high. The paperweight is in great condition without chips or cracks. There are a few scratches on the base which is typical due to the age of the piece. This would make a fabulous addition to your paperweight collection or give it as a special gift. I have a similar Orient and Flume paperweight listed. Greetings from Estate Art and Collectibles in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida! There is a 4 3/4″ disc, a 3 1/4″ round. And a 3 1/4 egg. They have lots of interest going for them. They are full of plenty of multicolored dichroic metallic flakes. The glass has good uranium content and glows a nice green under blacklight, as shown in the second photo. The design is beautifully complex, with multiple layers, channels, and swirls with many hues of blues and greens. Top drawer examples of Eickholt craftsmanship! They display very well with some minor signs of usage. They all have some minor light surface scratches and a few tiny fleabites, and are not perfect. Most do not show unless examined up close. The disc has the most visible of the scratches, with a couple of 1/2 inch scratches on the top edge.
