Here we have an EXTREMELY RARE/SCARCE antique Bacchus Millefiori close packed complex glass paperweight with a cameo/silhouette of Queen Victoria. This is a very rare item, unfortunately has been cracked at some point, no chips or loss, but has a crack across and around. Still displays well but may be’fixable’ with an injection type treatment. 1980 Tropical Fish Limited Edition Paperweight [292]. This large highly unusual weight is representational of the bed of the sea and contains three tropical fish swimming amongst the sea weed. It is faceted to add to the effect and with the initial date cane on the base. Only 398 of this issue made. 3 ¼ – 2 1/2. 86/400 only 398 made. This information is from the original Collectors Catalogue. Largely, we believe, they are Scottish, French and American and their values seem to vary hugely. So many are stunning! We are total paperweight amateurs (although learning more every day), so have copied, largely verbatim, the original Collector’s notes including his measurements. The Collector was knowledgeable and fastidious with his weights. All were stored in locked glass-fronted oak display cabinets, most have their original boxes, are catalogued impeccably and for many we have original invoices as well. We believe the weights we post are in excellent condition. He marked in his notes when this wasn? T the case and we have reproduced those comments on the description. Up for sale here is a rare Saguard Cactus vase done by the great glass blower Scott Beyersl. Who works for the highly collectable glass house Orient & Flume. Please look at photo’s this is truly a work of art. The vase stands 10 1/2 ” tall and is 6 ” in diameter and weighs 12 pounds. The vase is clear with Cactus surrounding the whole vase with the desert scene around bottom depicting the desert. Orient and Flume is a highly sought after by collectors and Scott Beyers is one of there better artist. I believe this was made in th late 70’s early 80’s. I dont know how to read the number system on the bottom of vase. Its also signed Orient & Flume, Beyers. I only charge actual cost no extra’s.
