The mushroom is formed of a central shamrock cane, surrounded by a ring of blue, red and white arrowhead/star canes, then a ring of white and coral star bundle canes with a third ring of coral green and white cog canes. An outer ring of white canes forms the stem and is drawn down to the star-cut base. A cobalt and white latticinio torsade encircles the base. Six and one circular facets. Whitefriars England Highly Cut and Faceted Christmas Angels Paperweight, EC 1975 Monk Date Cane. Magnification and visibility to the central pattern is excellent. This paperweight is designed by the master Geoffrey Baxter. The pattern is of a host of Angels surrounding a gorgeous large center winged Angel as its focus. The choice of cane colors is extremely pleasing, crisp lime greens, reds, blues, mauves, and whites. The colors give a jewel tone cool effect to the design. STUNNING VINTAGE LARGE BLACK SHEEP ART GLASS CASED PAPERWEIGHT PERFUME BOTTLE. This is a large heavy paperweight style blown perfume bottle with stopper. It is a beautiful piece of contemporary American hand-made studio art glass created by the glass artists at Blacksheep Glass, which is today known as Leslie Wilton Art Glass and located in Escondido, California. This is an extremely high-quality piece of art glass. I believe this is a cased piece with at least a couple of layers of glass. Imbedded deep within the glass are colorful pieces of Dichroic Glass, blue and white Millefiore flowers and green colored glass vines. There are even pieces of Dichroic Glass and white Millefiore flowers in the top of the stopper. FYI – The first two photos of this piece are taken with bright light from behind (backlit), the reminder taken in natural light with no backlighting. It is just stunningly beautiful!! This piece has been in my personal collection since 2006, when I bought it new at Bellagio in Asheville, North Carolina. Please note: the faint spots you may see in the photos are from my camera and are not on the glass. The perfume is artist ground and polished on the underside so it sits flat and level. It is also signed on edge of the bottle near the bottom Blacksheep Glass 2004 and retains the original factory sticker on the bottom. This is a fine example and gorgeous as you can see from the photos! I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. St Saint Louis Faceted Millefiori Star Pattern on White Ground EC 1971. It is of a beautiful cranberry and white millefiori star on a pure white background. The canes are extremely delicate, and many have an internal star as their center as well. They are so tightly bound together in the central area that they appear almost like a star carpet ground. This paperweight is in excellent condition. It has the identifying SL1971 date cane in its center. The weight is carefully faceted with six side facets and one top facet. Each facet perfectly magnifies the image inside. The top facet reflects all points of the star beautifully as the photos show. The weight is approximately 3 inches across.
