Von der Gründung dieser Glashütte im Jahre 1680 bis zu ihrer Schließung im Jahre 1980 wurden herausragende Glas-Erzeugnisse hergestellt. Neben Baccarat und Saint-Louis in Frankreich gehörte Whitefriars zu den wenigen Glashütten, die die Millefiori-Herstellung klassischer Art beherrschten. Bei den Millefiori-Paperweights hatte Whitefriars eindeutig die Führung übernommen, was die Feinheit und Exaktheit anbelangte. Sie bieten hier auf einen Millefiori-Paperweight im Concentric-Millefiori-Design und aufwendigem Schliff. Die meisten Paperweights von Whitefriars sind mit dem üblichen Fenster-Schliff mit 6 oder 7 Fenstern gearbeitet. Im Gegensatz dazu hier nun ein wunderschönes Exemplar in aufwendiger. Mitre Cut with Top Window. Um eine zentrale Cane-Gruppe sind sechs konzentrische Ringe aus gelben und roten Millefiori-Canes angeordnet. Im vierten Ring von außen findet sich das Signatur-Cane von Whitefriars mit der Jahreszahl 1979. Die gesamte Oberfläche dieses Paperweights aus schwerem Bleikristall-Glas ist komplett mit einem aufwendigen, von Hand ausgeführten Schliffmuster versehen. Angebracht, oben ein rundes Top-Fenster. Charakteristischer Whitefriars-Boden mit sauber ausgeschliffenem Abriß, absolut klar, minimalste Schiebespuren. Ein Spitzenstück mit einem der aufwendigsten Schliffmuster von Whitefriars.
