Antique Baccarat double clematis paperweight in pale blue with striped petals c. This beautiful paperweight measures 2 and 1/2 inches in diameter, with a height of 1 and 3/4 inches. The glass is clear and heavy typical of an antique Baccarat paperweight c. The artistry is exceptional, with a complex blue clematis of striped pale blue petals and a pink stardust centre cane on green leave with two more blue buds. There is a star-cut base, also typical of antique Baccarat paperweights. The paperweight has a small ding on the star cut base and the side towards the bottom of the weight shows the remnant of an impact fracture but can’t be felt. This is a fine and beautiful example of an Antique Baccarat paperweight from the mid-19th century.
