This is the real McCoy! A Signed Richard Satava Moon Jelly Fish Side-Swimmer Magnum Paperweight Sculpture!!! That’s a mouthful (lol). This museum quality piece is so much more beautiful in person then I could capture in pictures with my 2003 Kodak 4 Mega Pixel camera! I have owned this for a few years now and bought it brand new from an art glass gallery. It is in mint condition like the day it was made. Not even any dust scratches because I never had to dust it being in a cabinet for about the last year and packed away for the earlier 2 years or so of its life. Maybe a few finger prints on it from taking pictures. I will gently clean it for the new owner! The detail is so breath taking on this piece. I really love the ocean floor view with the sea anemones. They look like they change size when you view the piece from different angles and distances. Now you really will understand the difference between low-end and high-end art glass if you are the winner. This is as good as it gets. Satava is an extremely talented artist!!! Also, not that many of these pieces exist compared to the somewhat taller and elongated Jelly’s. This is such a better piece than most of those. Those don’t have an ocean floor with other sea creatures except for maybe the most expensive of them. The Jellyfish itself is very delicate and graceful looking. I always preferred the Moon Jellyfish over others because it is translucent in the most beautiful deep sea life looking bluish silver color! The size of this paperweight or sculpture is over 4 in diameter. The best I could measure is 4-1/4″ tall and 4-1/2″ wide. It seems like it should be so much larger because it looks so large in person. I have many paperweights and I have a 4 Glass Eye Paperweight called Wormhole that is not even close to this size in appearance. The larger a round piece is, then the greater the difference even a 1/4″ or 1/2″ can make in it’s appearance because even small changes to the diameter make a huge difference to the circumference! It is very heavy at about 4-1/2 pounds!!! I was thrilled when I opened the box and beheld this amazing work of art!!! I have never seen one in person before (only pictures). It was much better than I could have ever hoped for. I seemed to have lost the registration card, but I’m sure the Satava studio could make another one from the information they have in their database since the registration number is marked on the base of the piece near his signature. I don’t understand the necessity for it anyway. I’m not aware of any other studio, high-end or otherwise that does it. Offered with NO RESERVE. Use the zoom feature to view all the pictures.
