This breathtaking paperweight by Richard Satava is very rare indeed, it’s the only one I’ve seen that looks like mine. I’ve seen just two other -similar- paperweights like this one, but they’re not the same and one is much smaller and missing the moon. Just think if you were to give this to someone for their birthday, a graduation or your Mom or significant other for Mother’s Day! The full moon hangs seemingly motionless in the dark of the night. Beautiful white branches interlacing with delicate wisteria lightly obscure the moon’s glow. With an iridescence of purple, blue and gold that shine from within its core. It’s tall, a full 5″ and 3″ wide, approx. This 1989 Richard Satava paperweight will grace the most discerning of homes all on its own or, if you wish, display it with the rest of your collection. It is in excellent condition, as it has sat in my curio cabinet for many years. It is legibly signed R. Satava 1399/89 (1399 may be its number) and also has the intact label. The lightest of scratches where it sat as to be expected. It will come to you fully insured. Rick Satava’s studio is located in Chico, Ca. His works have been featured in Marvel’s Guardian’s of the Galaxy and has been noted in an article by Kelsy Fox as one of the “30 Most Amazing Glass Artists Alive Today”.
