THE PAPERWEIGHT: This is a Perthshire glass paperweight with scattered millefiori on white latticinio. It was made in 1978 in Scotland. There are four silhouette canes, including two rare silhouette canes, the dragon and the toucan. There are also the traditional Perthshire butterfly and cat sihouette canes, among the paperweight’s colorful millefiori. There is a classic and highly collectible Perthshire design, with wonderful canes. In addition to the date of 1978, the signature cane also has the letter P. Perthshire no longer makes art glass paperweights. This contemporary Perthshire paperweight measures approximately 2 & 1/2-inches in diameter at its widest point and is approximately 2-inches high.
