This example here is the very first glass item of his collection, each year handmade only 2,000 pieces until 1997, when Iittala become responsible for the production of the annual cubes. The Arrowhead cane is to antique Baccarat weights as the Rose cane is to Clichy weights. A large center Arrowhead millefiori cane is set with four spaced rings of millefiori canes. The inner ring is all Stardust canes and the third ring is all Arrowhead canes of a type different than the center cane. The entire design is encased within clear crystal. The paperweight is 2-5/16″ in diameter and 1-9/16″ high. The weight has been professionally polished and other than some small pits to the base, the condition is perfect.
