Exceptional example circa 1850, 5 turnips / vegetables, 2 white, 2 purple, 2 red, with cut greens on a latticino basket bed. 2 5/8″ diameter, 1 3/4″ tall. Excellent original condition and finish, no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Extremely light, small bruise only seen when tipped in the right light and you’re looking for it. Sitting in the polished pontil is an old label from a New York City dealer, DM & P Manheim. Good base wear on the base ring. 5 turnips as pictured and described, but only 2 white, 2 purple, and ONE red.
