CONSIGNOR SAYS SELL IT! NOW OVER 80% OFF. The Baccarat Wheat Flower is one of the. Of the antique Baccarat Flowers. It was made as two distinct typesa Yellow Flower with Brown spots, or a White Flower with Blue spots. This is the Yellow/Brown one. A large Yellow Wheat Flower is set with twelve Green leaves. The center of the flower is a white stardust cane with red whorl center. The tip of one flower petal is slightly detached (1 o’clock position). Two of the upper green leaves are slightly separated from the flower, and there is a small chip (1/8) to the edge of the base rim and an associated impact bruise just above that. NEITHER of these is visible from the top of the weight. There is very light wear and also one small pit to the upper side of the dome (1/16) and the faint remains of a spall that was not quite polished out during restoration. Over all the condition is excellent. And the weight would not need polishing, however there is plenty of glass to permit polishing if so desired. The weight is 2-7/8″ in diameter and 1-13/16″ high. This excellent classic antique mushroom paperweight from St. Louis has three concentric rings of millefiori canes set around a center complex cane. The outer ring of canes is pulled down to form a ribbed green stem. A blue and white spiral torsade and associated air ring surround the stem. The weight is quite large at 3-1/8″ in diameter and 2-3/16″ high. It has one flat top facet, five large concave side facets, and a star-cut base. The mushroom crown is slightly off center relative to the torsade, however it is straight upright and not tipped.
