For your consideration is a fabulous , vintage, hand blown, ORIENT AND FLUME paperweight. The background is a pale translucent gold color. A light purple dragonfly hovers above 3 red cattails. The cattails have green stems and flat elongated leaves. It measures a little over 3 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches tall. It’s in great condition without chips or cracks. The original Orient and Flume tag is still on the bottom. This paperweight would make a wonderful addition to your paperweight collection or give it as a special gift. For your consideration is a striking studio art glass paperweight done by Correia. It is approximately 3 inches tall and 3 inches at its widest point. An aqua and bright colored silver striped, applied glass, snake is coiled around the top. It has a red forked tongue which is also applied. The paperweight is clear with a veil of iridescent rainbow hued flecks inside. In some lights you can see magenta, blue, teal and gold. This is signed Correia and numbered WS /53/. There are no chips or cracks. A few minor scratches appear on the base where it rests. This is typical of older pieces. It is a very unusual piece! I have other Correia snake paperweights listed. Perthshire Paperweight Bowl with End of Day Center and Striated Canes along Side. Its base is a scrambled weight also known as end of day, and it is an early production because of the large letter P in its center. Most attractive is the depth and capacity of the bowl. It is almost 2 and 3/4 inches making it useful as a candy or condiment accessory. Each of the Perthshire bowls were created from paperweights at the factory in Crieff. This one is most unusual because of the additional detail on the bowl sides, white latticinio rods running upwards, all ending in a matching cobalt blue rimming. I do believe it is unique because of these characteristics. Its condition is excellent, a very pretty bowl indeed. The remnants of its Perthshire paperweight paper label still can be seen on its base in my photos. For your consideration is a wonderful Josh Simpson, art glass paperweight. It measures approximately 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall. It is multi colored with patches of sparkling aventurine and isolated bubbles. It looks like an underwater sea floor. The signature trail of small bubbles appear at the bottom. The outside photos show the actual color of the base which is a deep purple, green and aqua. This is from his “inhabited planet” series. In some lights iridescent hues can be seen. It is heading for a white flower that has orange and gold spots. Pulled feather designs that simulate webbing appear on the sides.
