A fine vintage Paul Ysart Harland glass paperweight with a central fish on a speckled blue cushion ground with complex canes around the outer edge along with a small signature cane containing the letter H. The clear glass domed paperweight has a flat base with a slightly concave centre drawn to a slightly concave point with rough ring. Provenance: From the collection of a gentleman. This is a rare commemorative sulphide paperweight by St. Louis, fine French crystal. The piece was made in 1953 to celebrate the coronation of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. The piece is made of clear lead crystal with circular’panels’ at the top and in a hexagonal pattern around the edge. The base of the piece holds a sulphide cameo portrait of the Queen, surrounded by a ring of alternating millefiore spheres in reds, whites, and greens. The piece is in good vintage condition with only one VERY small flake (see photos) but no other signs of wear or damage. The piece measures 1.9″ tall and 3″ wide.
