For your consideration is an amazing , vintage, hand blown, ORIENT AND FLUME paperweight. The background is an iridescent pearl white color. A golden dragonfly appears above 4 iridescent aqua blue blossoms. Pulled feather designs that simulate water appear on the sides. The piece is signed Orient and Flume, 237, NM, 1975. It is almost 3 inches wide and 2 inches high. In some lights there is an iridescent gold/magenta hue to the piece. It is in great condition without chips or cracks. Hervorgegangen ist Perthshire aus den schottischen Manufakturen Vasart und Strathearn, die ebenfalls vom Gründer der Perthshire Paperweights Ltd. Stuart Drysdale, gemanagt wurden. Perthshire, weltbekannt für Paperweights in absoluter Präzision, wurde 2002 leider geschlossen. Sie bieten hier auf. Der schottischen Manufaktur PERTHSHIRE mit der Bezeichnung PINK FLOWER & BUD (PP222) aus dem Jahr 2000. Von diesem Motiv wurde lediglich eine Kleinstserie von 150 Exemplaren hergestellt, dies ist die Nummer 109. Im Zentrum eine Blüte mit vier rosa Millefiori-Blättern, einer Knospe, grünem Stengel und Blättern, komponiert aus feinstem Millefiori und Lampwork. Nach außen umrahmt von einem Hexagon aus dreifarbigen Twists mit einem Millefiori-Cane an jeder Ecke und einem weiteren Ring aus Millefiori-Canes. Das gesamte Setup ruht auf einem transparenten, royal-blauen Grund. Zur Vollendung des Designs sind 7 Rundfenster (6+1) eingeschliffen. Boden konkav und feuerpoliert mit schmalem Standring.
