Excellent condition – Crystal has no chips, cracks, or scratches (see pictures for more details). Is definitely one of the most recognized iconic pieces ever created. A magnificient piece of art that speaks for itself! In the Arthurian legend only a true king can withdraw the sword from the stone. In James Houston’s contemporary interpretation of the myth, the sword in stone (crystal) paperweight is a rare piece to come by in excellent condition with its original presentation box. The Excalibur would be incomplete without its presenation box. This very heavy and well made piece that has a sculpted rock base made entirely out of crystal, which bears the Steuben signature on the underside. The heavy silver sterling Excalibur Sword letter opener is accented with 18k gold braiding wrapping around the sword’s handle. The underside of the hilt has the appropriate hallmarks for silver and gold (see pictures for more details). Some wear to box.
