This paperweight is created in the Czech Republic, and still has the sticker on the bottom saying so. I took lots of photos of it both indoors and outdoors, so that you could view it at different angles, settings and lightings. I, personally, think it’s more of a sculpture than a paperweight, but that’s merely my opinion. It’s approximately 6 1/2″ long, approximately 3″ wide at the widest, approximately 2 3/4″ wide at the narrowest, and approximately 2″ tall. It is mainly an amber color but it also has blues and yellowish-browns streaming down its length. In fact, it’s somewhat reminiscent of a stream captured in glass by deft artistic hands and FLAME! Somewhat contradictory, isn’t it? I’m envisioning both trickling water and stillness in the graceful design, and a feeling of calm washes over me. A Magnum 3.5 Damon MacNaught 2010 Concentric Millefiori Studio Art Glass Paperweight. Interesting diversity in canes with an aqua row surrounding the black, white and red center cane that looks almost puffy and reminds me of quilts. Next is a row of small white stars on dark canes, then a row of large white complex canes. Finally the beige stave basket begins with red/white stars. Signature on the side “Damon MacNaught 10″ although some might think it could be 20-visible in the last photo. Weighs 1 lb 11 ounces and is approximately 3.5″ W X 2.4″ H In great shape, no issues to report. Please refer to photos. Very light base wear.
This is a vintage Vandermark Studio signed art glass egg. It has a pulled feather design on a citron background. The blue is iridescent like carnival glass.
