Stuart Abelman Art Glass Paperweight. Stunning iridescent geode pyramid paperweight in cobalt blue. The paperweight is approximately 7.25″ tall and the base is 3″ in diameter. It is signed Abelman GE29520MCS-C 1997. The paperweight has some scratches on the upper area of the left facet. They were photographed against a black background at an angle in the close up photo. Right above the scratches there is a nick on the edge of the facet where the blue meets the clear glass. This area is somewhat porous and the nicked area can look whitish. Beautiful antique advertising paperweight. Whisler Resident Dentist Merricks Block Broadway New Brighton Penn. 5th 1882 Brown Maxwell & Co. Limited Rochester Pa U. It is about 3 1/4″ wide x 1 3/4″ tall. It is in excellent original condition. There is no damage. There are some minor insignificant surface blemishes. There are several air bubbles but none break the surface. The base is clean. Because there is little to no surface wear, the caption is clear and easy to see. Compared to similar pieces, this paperweight displays exceptionally well. My pictures don’t always project the ideal image. I have serious problems with glare and lighting. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions, especially photo related ones. I do this often. I have never had a discrepancy complaint. My customers are in very good hands. Magnificent large oak leaf and acorn paperweight by Orient and Flume. It’s signed on the base but I can’t make it out. I believe this pattern was made by David Smallhouse and Ed Alexander. There is an engraved serial number and the label is intact. It’s in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or other damage. There are little dots of silicone film to stop it damaging any surface it sits on. It’s very large, at about 11cm tall. Saint Louis 1981 Basket of Flowres Clichy inspired patterned millefiori pedestal paperweight. A central complex cane is encirceld by several oval concentric rings of assorted complex canes and a border of spaced cane clusters that create a bloming prairie of millefiori. The field of flowers sits atop a wide pedestal basket of white double swirl latticinio, borderd by two blue and white twist torsades, reminiscent of the rare antique Clichy basket. Jahrhundert die Renaissance der Paperweightherstellung. Der Vater, Salvadore Ysart, begann in den 1930er Jahren Paperweights nach den klassischen Vorbildern herzustellen. Mit seinen Söhnen Paul, Vincent und Augustine Ysart belebte er in Schottland bereits vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg die Paperweight- herstellung. Auch danach gingen wesentlich künstlerische Impulse von dieser Familie aus. Unseres Erachtens wird bis auf den heutigen Tag diese künstlerische Leistung weit unterschätzt, denn aus Ihren initialzündenden Anfängen gingen später, Strathearn, Perthshire, Selkirk, Phoenix, Caithness usw.
