The weight features a large central pistachio coloured dahlia with t he signature ” SL 1970 ” date cane inset to the centre of the flower head see pic. There is a band of 6 large facets to the sidesee pic. The paperweight is in great condition, with nothing more than some surface scratches/standing wear to the base. Antique American 19th Century New England Paperweight. Very nice paperweight that displays great with only minor roughness around the foot. The possibility exists that this was professionally polished at one time. I can’t tell for certain but it is very smooth on top and doesn’t have the typical light waviness that I would expect to see. The unusual design for Perthshire features a domed weight with a frosted exterior. This has a dished facet to the front allowing you to view the central pair of lampwork snowmen.
