These paperweights are for a Husband & Wife. 2nd 1805, Died Oct 13th 1854″ and “Aseneath Maddux, Born Apr. 12th 1810, Died Mar 2nd 1901 I found internet pictures of their markers in the Mckinley/Oak Chapel Cemetery in Grant county, Indiana (see photos). Each paperweight is about 3 1/4 ” tall, 3 1/2″ across and weigh a bit more than 2+ lbs each. Overall condition of each is very nice with no noticeable chips or scratches. The Thomas weight does have what looks like an internal fracture visible only thru the base. The Aseneath weight has one slight “bruise” sparkler on the top (above “Died” in the photo). Glass is clear with a base color of cranberry in the shape of a flower with a confetti backed white pillow above on which the inscriptions are written. There is a looping confetti rope around the sides. These paperweights are over 100 years old and it is very rare to find a pair of matching memorial weights in this nice of condition.
