Designed by Oren Sherman 1989. Consider this rare stunning new in box signed largest. A cut and polished block of crystal is engraved with a downhill racer taking a mogul and from every angle the design is multiplied and light radiates throughout. Note, this is not the smaller Steuben “Cross Country” Skier paperweight design. A beautiful gift for the Skier for the special birthday, anniversary or prize. This design is in new undisplayed condition with no chips, no cracks, no scratches and no bottom wear. This design was made in USA by Steuben’s skilled artists of authentic original formula optically pure Steuben glass before the glassworks was torn down in 2012. It is not a re-introduction or off shore made reproduction. This will be packed in it’s vintage fine Steuben box and fine flannel bag with Steuben care booklet. This large Steuben Downhill Ski design measures approx. 4″ wide by 4″ high, with the heft approx. 3lbs and sparkling clarity of authentic original formula optically pure Steuben crystal. A very fair price for this rare new in box Steuben design. Since the glassworks closing in 2011 it is almost impossible to find scratch free, damage free engraved examples of this art glass. My goal is that you are satisfied with this item and the service you receive. I encourage you to ask questions. I appreciate your interest in this design and I hope you will take time to look at the other items I have listed at LEGENDARY SteubenGlass on. This design appears in the 2003 edition of the MJ Madigan Steuben reference book. This is not to be confused with the smaller “Cross Country” Skier paperweight design by Steuben.
