The canes are extremely delicate, and many have an internal star as their center as well. They are so tightly bound together in the central area that they appear almost like a star carpet ground. This paperweight is in excellent condition. It has the identifying SL1971 date cane in its center. The weight is carefully faceted with six side facets and one top facet. Each facet perfectly magnifies the image inside. The top facet reflects all points of the star beautifully as the photos show. The weight is approximately 3 inches across.
