For your consideration is a striking studio art glass paperweight done by Correia. It is approximately 3 inches tall and 3 inches at its widest point. An aqua and bright colored silver striped, applied glass, snake is coiled around the top. It has a red forked tongue which is also applied. The paperweight is clear with a veil of iridescent rainbow hued flecks inside. In some lights you can see magenta, blue, teal and gold. This is signed Correia and numbered WS /53/. There are no chips or cracks. A few minor scratches appear on the base where it rests. This is typical of older pieces. It is a very unusual piece! I have other Correia snake paperweights listed.
