A Center Red/Green Rose cane is encircled by a spaced ring of six complex canes including a Red/White Rose cane. An outer ring of twelve canes completes the design. The paperweight is 2-1/8″ in diameter and has a nice high dome at 1-5/8″ high. The weight has been polished and the upper surface is near perfect. There is a small shallow bruise on the lower side just above the bottom edge. There are some tiny nicks and wear to the base rim confirming the age. Over all condition is excellent. My name is Ted Trower and I’ve been a paperweight collector for over 40 years. For the past 10 years or so I’ve been working on lampworking and paperweight weight production techniques. I’ve finally reached the point where I’m ready to offer some of my better pieces for sale to the public. This weight is made of 100% 96 COE glasses, both the colors and the Czech Optical Crystal used for encasement. It has been very well and carefully annealed.
