My name is Jeff Mentuck and I have been making glass for nearly three decades. My main profession for the last dozen years has been operating the studio at a local university. Over the years I have made nearly every kind of glass you can imagine. I love to look at complex repetitive patterns. I love the optical depth and layering that can be put into a paperweight. I like to explore with layers and light and create unique compositions within the glass. Some seem at home under the sea, or within our biology. Some have cosmic tendencies and some others are tight with precision. I love to subtly incorporate shiny dichroic sections and swirls to draw the viewer’s eye. Sometimes they go for big dollars, sometimes they go unnoticed and you might get a real deal!
